Throughout my own journey, I have learned that the most successful leaders are those who take the time to assess where they’ve been and where they’re headed, while also improving their organization’s success. When planning for performance, it’s important to gain perspective on how far you’ve come, and what strengths and skills will help you advance and lead into the future.

Often, the very attributes that helped you get where you are no longer serve you in getting to where you want to go. Building on the strengths you already have and adding new skills to your leadership toolbox such as communication, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence will have greater importance as you progress on your journey.

I believe that anyone can be successful and all leaders can be excellent. My clients include leaders at all levels who are committed to taking their performance to the next level so that they and their business can thrive. I work with professionals who strive to improve themselves, others and their places of work – and to leave things better than they found them.

About Me

Leadership and excellence have been the focus of my career from the beginning. Through my service in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of the Interior, 30 years with The Boeing Company, and as a Baldrige examiner and board member, I have had a wide range of experience in leadership positions and in partnering with other leaders to achieve excellence.

My leadership journey began as a 20-year-old leading hundreds and continued through many leadership roles, including as a corporate executive, and now as an executive and leadership coach. Throughout my journey I have partnered with and coached all levels of leaders from first line managers to C-suite executives, and helped leaders from entrepreneurs to corporate leaders succeed.

Leadership Excellence is the cornerstone of my coaching practice, and I’ve worked with a wide range of executives to develop strategies, reach milestones and celebrate achievements. My work in my corporate career resulted in several quality awards for the organization, twice including the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award - once in service and once in manufacturing.

Throughout my career, I’ve maintained a commitment to my values while staying focused on continuous improvement and excellence. I served on the National Baldrige Foundation Board of Directors for 15 years, and held multiple positions, including as the first female Chair of the Board in the Foundation’s 30 years of existence.  I also served on the Board of Directors for the California Council for Excellence, including serving as Chair of the Board. I earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in organization development (MSOD) from Pepperdine University.   I am married and have twin daughters who are now college graduates with their own careers.  I’m a certified professional coach (CPC) through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and am also an ICF member.
